All Euro HWY 1 Cruise - Nov 7th

Short notice, I know, but I couldn't leave the smart car guys & gals out. So far we're expecting 20-30+ cars of various makes ranging from VW, MINI, BMW, Volvo, etc, and it'd be really cool to see some SMART cars out there.

What: A scenic cruise down California State Route 1 from Pescadero to Big Sur.

When: Saturday, November 7th starting at ~10:30am (drive starts at ~11:00am)

Who: Any euro car is encouraged to come out; however, if yours is out of commission, feel free to roll in your sisters Camry. Just park it away from the crowd and drive towards the back of the pack for picture taking purposes.

Route & Itinerary:

10:30am - Meet at Pescadero beach
11:00am - Depart Pescadero
Stop at Bonny Doon beach in Bonny Doon for photos etc.
Stop in Watsonville for gas/snacks/bathroom.
Stop at Monastery beach in Carmel for photos etc.
ETA 2:00pm - End trip in Big Sur @ the River Inn, optional lunch.

FRS Radios: Radios, if you have them, should be set to channel 13.3

Sorry guys, I tried to post a link to google maps and some photos of the route, but the forum software won't let me because I'm a newbie.

If you google "All Euro HWY 1 Cruise" you'll get plenty of hits from other forums, most of which include a google maps link and images.

Hope to see you there!

So, does this include Euro cars manufactured in North America? See, they might be considered American cars if manufactured in the States, or Canadian cars if built in Canada (unless they have engines made in Mexico, of course)...

HAHAHA, yeah. If it's from a European make, it's fair game.

BTW: If you're coming from out of town, this would be a great chance to get a room in the Monterey area and go to the last Marina Auto-X of the year on Sunday. I know some of the VW and Audi guys from the drive will be there. We could have sort of an after party at the Auto-X.

Auto-X info: NorCal UFO
