any smart cars available?

I know this is a bit of a stretch, but does anybody know of any dealers that have smart cars available? I already have ordered mine and I don't mind the wait but if there was one available somewhere, why not go for it? Maybe someone would cancel their reservation and not take delivery? Who knows

Thanks!

Me Too!

I am in the same boat. I'm ready to jump ship and swim to the nearest dealer with an orphan. Would like a yellow cabriolet/black strip/light interior but will take any color and change out the panels. My # is 1475 and it's going to be a looooong summer, fall and possibly winter before I get "the call". Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Susie

contact your local dealer and ask them if they maintain an "orphan" list and if so ask them to put you on on it

Thanks for the idea and I will do that Monday. If I could get the addresses/telephone numbers of other dealers in Florida I would call them too.
Thanks,

Susie

I believe all that information on the smart dealers throughout the country is listed in it's entirety on one of the threads as well as on smartUSA's website. Good Luck!

Unfortunately I have contacted so far, two of my local dealers regarding an "orphan list" and it seems they were unaware of any sort of list of that matter. I don't know if it's true or if they just play dumb? Although I don't see the reason to...

Don't think of the orphan list as an official list (as in consecutive numbers) and you will start to understand the mysterious world of car sales. Why do you think they call them car "dealers".

Try Niello Sacramento as well. They have some kind of a list and they are very pleasant to deal with.

There "should" be a black loaded cabrio in Tulsa. My co worker got tired of the games and folded on Friday.
