Car Audio Shops in the Bay Area - Recommendations needed

Where did you take your Smart to get your audio installed? I don't have the time to do it myself, and would like to find a good shop that is also familiar with removing the body panels.

I'm not going to do anything custom - just your basic Navigation head unit, component speakers, underdash sub, and single amp.

Thanks for any help!

PS: I would also be interested in anyone who installed their own system, and is interested in undertaking my project for a few extra Smart-modding dollars in your pocket

Don't know about the bay area but had mine installed in Roseville at Car Audio Innovations

Had they done any Smart cars before yours? Did they have any trouble removing the panels?

i had a sports car with stereo equipment installed by Car Audio Innovations. they specialize in high end work.

i took my smart there for a quote. their bass solution will be a custom enclosure...where outcome would be similar to 4smartcar's woofer box, but fiberglass. if price is no object, they are the shop for you...as their work is outstanding but so are their prices.

if time + budget is a factor, i'd consider purchasing the 4smartcar woofer box + focal mid/tweeter kits; and go local for head unit/amp/crossover + install. you'll save time + ~50% of Car Audio Innovations custom custom work job.

personally, i haven't pulled the trigger yet.
