I'm getting antsy!

I am an 1180 (resv on 3/26/07 ... config on 10/20/07) and still NOTHING! The folks at Smart-Universal don't have me on any list yet ... and the online DDE shows 3/31/08-6/28/08.

I have been razzing my friend in the O.C. that resv/configed at least 2 months AFTER me ... and guess what ... he got his Smart already! LOL

The anticipation is too much ...

I've had mine one week now! Obviously I'm still enamored with it and love the weekends even more since I get to do more driving than just to work and back. I've got 100 miles on it now !! Will post some pics of it at the beach. who is planning a so cal meetup?

Does anyone understand the process? I just noticed that they pushed back my date on the DDE to a June-Sept window!

I'm an 1180 ... and I see that people are getting their cars before me with numbers higher than me (at my dealer - Universal) ...

Is there some trick to actually getting your car???

we have the same issue here in the midwest and probably everywhere. we've been speculating that your DDE 'may' be tied to your Zip Code. it would make sense that Smart would like to see these cars spread out as much as possible.

for instance, i live in Indy and 'reserved' on 3/16/08 (1536) and have NOT 'configured' yet, but someone in a small town in northern Indiana reserved later (1541) and had been 'invited' to 'configured' in less than a week.

all we can do is wait it out OR buy something else. as for me, i'll either wait it out or grab up an orphan.
