skyzdlimit59 suggested this great meet in Redondo Beach. Here is what she said about her experience there:
Every Friday evening there is a classic car meet in the parking lot in front of the Ruby's next to Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach. We went last night to check it out. They're a great group of car owners, anxious to share their cars and ask about yours. Everything there from Model A's to a 2004 Mustang GT. No descrimination on the type and boy, did the smart get a lot of attention last night! We had dinner on the patio and watched the swarms. They sell tickets for a 50-50 and a few prizes.
I thought it would be a nice meet place. They begin at 5:00 PM and usually begin breaking up at around 7:00 PM, although some stick around until 8:30 PM. The weather was perfect for dinner outside and this goes on all summer.
I plan on getting there around 4 or 4:30 to try and avoid some traffic, as mentioned above it generally tends to start at 5 and break up around 7 so if you can get there before 7, great! If you feel you can make it later we will probably be eating dinner and if you RSVP yes I will give you my number.
Directions
From Orange County
take the 91 Fwy. West to Western Ave. Turn left on Western Ave. Turn right on 190th St. 190th St. will become Anita St. as you get closer to the beach. Go past Pacific Coast Hwy. and Anita St. becomes Herondo St. Keep going until you reach Hermosa Ave. and turn left. Hermosa Ave. will become Harbor Dr. Follow Harbor Dr. and go past Beryl St. Turn right into the Redondo Beach Marina parking lot.

From Los Angeles
take the 405 Fwy. South and get off at Inglewood Ave. Turn right on Inglewood Ave. Turn right on 190th St. 190th St. will become Anita St. as you get closer to the beach. Go past Pacific Coast Hwy. and Anita St. becomes Herondo St. Keep going until you reach Hermosa Ave. and turn left. Hermosa Ave. will become Harbor Dr. Follow Harbor Dr. and go past Beryl St. Turn right into the Redondo Beach Marina parking lot.

As it turns out, I have a meeting at the Port of LA on Friday morning, and then off for the rest of the day. I think i'll geocache my way there. Excited for a great evening at the beach!

Oooo, excellent idea. Haven't done that in awhile but I believe there is still one very close to the meet, at King Harbor. Enjoy and see you at the meet!
