DMV Refund, Anyone else?

I got a 59.00 "DMV Refund check in the mail from Smart yesterday! Anyone else get this refund? is this some sort of thanks for buying a green car maybe? If thats the case I'd think it should be more! But I'll take what I can get.

Maybe they overcharged you on your title/registration?

I didn't get one, but I'll post if I do! Really just waiting for my regular plates so I can turn them in at DMV for my personal plates.

But not from smart, a DMV refund would be from your local taxation authority. That's odd!

Who is the maker of the check? Smart or DMV?

The check is without a doubt from smart. On the check summary it says DMV Refund.

Interesting - what did you pay for title and registration?

When you buy a call in CA ( I buy a few a year for work) they dealerships estimate your DMV fee's and by estimate I mean add $50 to $200. I always check the contract ounce I get my registration and see the difference because I have NEVER not been owed money.. 99% of the time I have to call the dealership and ask for it.

From an earlier post, SPDickey paid $167 for DMV Title and License it was added on after the tax was calculated. Smartiepants what were you charged?
