June LA (Proposed) Meetup for So Cal Smarties - BH Concours

Hey So Cal smarties!

I came across this event this morning. Looks like a great combination - cars and shopping! Something for everyone.

Maybe some smarties in the area can figure out a good spot for us to meet either before or after the show? Parking? Caravan?

I know its Dad's Day, should be a great time to bring him along too!

Heres a description from their website:

2008 RODEO DRIVE CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE

The 2008 Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance will take place on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15. The theme is “Haute Wheels: Celebrating Car Couture,” which harkens back to the original Parisian Concours where luxurious high fashion was modeled next to magnificent custom coach work.
This year, Rodeo Drive will be home to not only its renowned fashions, but also one-of-a-kind “couture” automobiles at the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance. More than 100 exotic cars will be on display in Beverly Hills, lining the 300 and 400 blocks of Rodeo Drive. This annual event will be free and open to the public from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

I post something last night and due to the migration, the post got deleted! lol!

I am still pondering where is a good place to meet. A lot that can fit maybe 10 smarties? Do we want to park a little bit further and walk to the show?

How about working something with smart center Beverly Hills? Just a few blocks from Rodeo?

It's pretty far from Rodeo, isn't it?

Although maybe Vinnie has some connections to get us some parking on the "concourse"

BHbenz is quite a walking distance... :-P

I can think of the parking lots along Santa Monica between N Bedford and N Rodeo. These are the lots behind the row of shops. But we have to go there early to get consecutive spaces.

I got that even from Vinnie. He called me prior to my pick up and said "Hey Vinnie! This is Vinnie!"

Here's the map. Arrows point to the lots. I think parking is free on Sunday.

I haven't got a chance to visit there this weekend...

I would still think that Sunday is free parking in the lots I posted.
