NICE!! I love that Manilla Beige 300D. I just sold one identical except I didn't have 15" bunt wheels, mine were 14". I really liked the car, the guy I sold it to says it's the best W123 he's ever had - - and he's had a bunch.
Nice gathering of Smarts. Did the purists scoff at the Smarts? at least the 451's?
That was a nice 123 although I did notice some mismatched paint. The interior was immaculate. I think it belongs to a local MBCA member. The W123s and W124s were some of the toughest Benzes made.
No scoffing that I was aware of. Many of the regular Benz owners came over to admire the smarts.

I know of one absolutely perfect Manila Beige (yellow) 300D that a MBCA member has but I don't think he had any mismatched paint (looks like a door in the pic). His car was absolutely beautiful, I think it was originally owned by his grandmother and he inherited it.
I committed a MB crime right after I sold my car, I converted it to WVO for the new owner. It was a quality job though.
