OH how I'd love to park where that bumblebee is parked. I think they should change those stupid red zones to SMART zones. They are so perfect for the smart, and there is still room for others to get out. I'm sure he did it just for that "golden" picture opportunity (pun intended)

I'm over the hill from your hangout out in Lakewood Village. There's black and yellow Cabrio a couple of blocks over from our Coupe. I haven't had time to hang out at the "Shore" but we have taken surface street road trips to the South Bay, Pasadena and Uptown Whittier and Diamond Bar in order to do that 1000 mile break-in before running it on long high speed commutes. A lot of points and stares and that "Is it street legal" question keeps popping up.

That must be a "blank stare" question. I got another tonight... someone at dinner said I'd gotten a smart car, and another person at the table asks, "What do you do with it?" It took me a few seconds to try to imagine what he must have been thinking. What do other people do with their cars?

Red and silver turning left (East) onto Denny from Westlake as I was heading West on Denny turing right (North) on to Westlake. There are so many around South Lake Union I'm losing count. It was my first fellow Red sighting.

I was driving through a shopping center and looked towards the glass windows and saw a red cabrio... it was ME! Man did the car look small; but it just does not feel small from the inside out. Then I saw a bubblebee on the expressway... man did it look small. I think it is an optical illustion and the cars are really much bigger than they appear - it's just the way the light reflects on them that they appear small... you think? ;-)

Not Alone

I finally saw another Smart. As I was getting on the 110 south from Artesia Blvd. in Gardena and I saw a blue and silver also heading south. It already had CA plate so it had been owned for awhile. I couldn't keep up as I was getting off at the next exit. My 451 is definitely a rarity in the South Bay and southeast LA county.

Also, there is still no signs of work going on for the Smart Center in Torrance on or near Mercedes Benz of South Bay on PCH. It's almost the end of the first quarter. Any clues as to where they may be hiding it?

Saw my first smart yesterday in Rancho Palos Verdes. Yellow-silver cabrio turning left onto Western from Toscanini. My blue-silver coupe with CA plates has been the only one in the San Pedro area for two months (not the one on the 110).

Today, we turned up the hill into Toscanini from southbound Western. We were visiting friends but they didn't mention any other Smarts in the neighborhood. Oh, well.
