Wow! A drive-in in California you say? I thought those all closed down! Think again my friend. While this is not a permanent drive-in movie theater, it is one for 2 nights a month in Downtown Los Angeles.
No need to worry about parking, because it is held in a parking lot, and you don't even have to leave your smart to watch the movie! How great is that?

Cost: 10.00 per PERSON they used to have a per car price, but for us 2 seaters it wouldn't have been a steal at 30.00 per car anyway. So yes, unfortunately they don't have an old fashioned price for an old-fashioned occasion, but its an occasion that can't be bought anywhere else near Los Angeles! As far as I know you buy the tickets when you get there, but if I find out different I'll let you know.

Boo hooo, I would really have loved to have my SMART to bring, but based on my conversation with Universal, it's more likely to be 4-6 weeks from their 2/28 30 day notice.

So, if I show up with my Mazda, you'll all still like me won't you? LOL.

I would guess the plan would be to all park in one specific location. Anyone working on this?

Yes you may show up in any car you want! You're almost there on being an owner! And your most def. an enthusiast. So please come.

As far as us all getting to park in one location I will put the request in, but I'm not sure how it will work out since they do not take reservations. But if we all plan to get there when the gates open we can all park together, and those that show up late, it shouldn't be a huge problem I'm sure we'll find each other - just don't show up toooo late! I don't know how many people they let in.

Lets take advantage of what we have, and start planning our meeting there.

Once again, I stress that So Cal Smarties is not just for owners but for enthusiasts as well! This is a meeting at the dealership with a dealer representative available to answer any questions. If you have the car, or if you don't have the car this is the perfect opportunity to learn about it, and of course laugh and have a great time listening to the smart car stories.

We need to find out what Sunday is best for everyone. I will post a poll with a few dates, and then a field for other, in which you can reply with a better date.
