I had a very fruitful and promising meeting today with our sponsor, Ken Crossman (Dealer Principal) of Smart Center Universal City.
I can't (rather not) tell you everything that was discussed because if word got out, there would be a run on $99.00 reservations being made at this dealership.
In my opinion, I have not been a member of any club anywhere that had a more enthusiastic sponsor. The only way to sum this up is to title Universal as a "Participating" member and sponsor.
We must keep in mind that Universal is in business and as such we are important but at the same time their business must come first (It helps finance their participation).
The least intrusive time for them to give us use of their facilities on a regular basis, is Sunday mornings, which can work out rather well overall.
Some of the activities that are on the planning table very exciting, educational, enlightening AND entertaining.
If you don't agree that being a member of the SCS (So. Cal. Smarties) is a fantastic bonus to owning a Smart car....... I suggest you go see a shrink. (Just kidding)
Ken or his capable representative Adam Slusser will be present at meetings and activities, not only as sponsors but as members.
BTW: Adam already has a reservation for a Smart for his very own.
