There is a homecoming ceremony for 100 of our reservists returning from Iraq. Ceremony begins at 10 am, Sunday Sep 14th at Farnsworth Park (568 Mount Curve Ave.) in Altadena (91001).
BBQ by Bill's Chicken, suggested donation $10 or more, all proceeds go to 3/413/7/104th Div Family Support Group.
I think that there are still opportunities to volunteer to serve food to unit members and their families.
Stop by and thank the troops personally, have a meal with a soldier who may not have a family member present.
The wife and I will be doing some show-and-tell with our smart cars. These men and women were deployed well before the first 451s arrived in the U.S. so these will be the first that most have ever seen.
Congressman Adam Schiff and Pasadena Mayor Bogaard will be among the VIPs. A good turn out will not go unnoticed.
