Since we are enjoying a wonderful Indian summer here in the PNW, I was hoping to cruise to the Bluebird Inn in Bickleton on a Saturday morning in the near future.
I'm in- just name the date and time. The Carousel Museum is one of a kind. I think I know someone that can get us ther without GPS. Heh! Heh! Heh! Did you leave any thing for the rest of us at the sausage fest.?
If you were able to go to Bluebird on a Saturday, what would be your first pick for arrival time there? Just trying to think backwards to what a drive-time start time would be.
Arriving in Bickleton in early afternoon would probably be best. It is a very small town. Also fewer critters in the road . They like dawn and dusk. They do get lots of car and bike groups touring through. No gas available. They were working on a cardlock setup-don't remember the name or the time of completion.
As a Northwest Native, Constant Explorer and PNW Traveler, I had never heard of Bickelton until now....... The Wikipedia information was really great to read !! Have fun !
Don't get too near those BlueBirds, especially if they are eating BlueBerries !
I have been thinking-and that can be dangerous. Next year for the Prosser meet maybe we will do a Mabton, Bickelton, Roosevelt, Alderdale, Paterson, and if we're frisky the Plymouth Tavern Loop. It could be a real nice afternoon galavant.
