CUTE got a BOoBOo :(

This is what happens when someone does an illegal U-turn in front of you.

The good news is SMART is so smart as to make our parts affordable and easy to replace.....yeah!!!

Anyone else had to replace the front panels and what tips might you have?

Here's what she looks like after a heat gun and some 1x2 body work.. Still going to get the new panel tho

OK, the motor pic was removes as to not cause any confusion and it didn't really appear from the magic heat gun....

Thanks All,

John Mc

Correct, its not...tho it would be fun to have 550+ hp in the back end. And I did make reference to it not being real in jest

Yes, Dani.... all passengers are ok. It was a sub 10 mph crash, we hit the other cars rear driver side wheel, and after seeing Suzie's pics and her damage, I feel lucky that it was only the panel that I will need to replace

John

Hopefully going in today to get the panel replaced by the dealer. I'll post the cost and time when she gets done. Need to do it this weekend so shes pretty, new and cute agin for next weekend

Thanks Dune, it came out better then I thought and I hit the back driver side rear wheel of a Ford Focus. There are some scratches but only a few as it was a slow impact. It would have been less damage if the driver wouldn't have kept making the U-turn even after the impact.

John

Edits:
Well, it seems the part is on back order, so CUTE will have a boo boo at the rally
