Still have not hear about my fender yet, so I called this morning seems the dealer has a full panel kit in my color and will break out my fender, so I may get her fixed on Tuesday if the dealer is open.

OK.... CUTE got fixed this afternoon!!!!! Yea and it took 45 mins and 308 dollars. 180 for the part and 99 for labor, then tax. All said and done not to bad and she's back to new.

BUT, about one mile away from the dealer while sitting at a red light,
the driver behind us seen the left turn lane signal change and slammed in to the our rear end while we were still on a red light in our lane, can you believe it, so back to the dealer, good thing they had a whole panel kit in our color because we needed a center fender panel, rear passenger panel and the hatch door panel, totaling 788 dollars. Thankfully the driver was very nice and is paying for it tomorrow.

And how cool was it for the Smart dealer here to do the work not 30 mins after we left the first time.

So, there is the update and some......

Dan at smartune...

HI Dan,

I got the CUTE fixed, and the part is sitting at the dealer with your name on it, BJ said he will hold it for a week =)

I have a rear Passenger side panel now to, but its up in Edmonds, let me know if you want it.

John

PS: seems Dan is not taking private messages...if anyone knows how to let him know, please do so

John with your luck you might as well buy the remaining panels and save yourself any back order time.

John,
You may be the first smart owner using a drive-in repair shop... Is it your user name?
Sorry! No, joke aside, really sorry about your bad luck! At least it happened not too far from the Dealer. Wish you better days. Indeed.

Wow, John - what a story! Sorry for your rotten luck. I guess CUTE is paid in advance on Boo-Boos for a while!

Happy that you've got her all put back together now.

John,

Can you even get a passenger to ride with you these days?

Since you are spending all your free time at the dealer... have you got some sponsorship from them lined up for future events?

Good luck with the repairs. And seriously, take it easy on CUTE!
