It was great meeting everyone today !! I was there with the black on black Passion. It was interesting to see what some people are starting to do to their smarts and it will only get better. The two things that caught my eye today were the scangauge install and headlight assembly painting that Smartune showed us. I think turning my headlight chrome into a grey would look great with my black Smart !! Looking foward to meeting up again !
It was great to meet everyone today. I enjoyed having an opportunity to check out the new smart and compare it to my 2004. Next time I hope to get a ride in one.
Beverly & I enjoyed meeting everyone at this event. Thanks for the excellent pictures above. The yellow "bookends" really stood out on such a gloomy day.
Loved all the vanity plates we saw; but I have to say my favorite is ASAWHIP. And I thought you 450 owners had snapped up all the good ones.
Micromachine is awesome - quite the labor of love.
AGENT99's wind-up key is a real hoot.
We look forward to more of these in the months to come.
Once the word gets out, your Northwest group will grow and grow with Smart lovers !!
Sorry I missed it......... please let me know if I can help..... I am the "Wagon Master / Organizer of the Northwest SSR Fanatics".. we have grown from 3 to over 100 in but two years !
We had a great time at the get together. I'll get pictures into the gallery once I get them from my husband's computer but if you'd like to see them now go to: http://www.roseofthewinds.com/smart
Well we finally made it home and had to catch up on my afternoon nap. We didn't make it home in time for the 5 O'Clock news so I don't know if they showed much of the event or if we wound up on the editing room floor.
We had a great time with a good turn out of smarts. The only real problem was that there was just too many people to get to meet and visit with everybody. Time does fly when you are having fun.
The food was really something. I'm glad we live so far away as I have enough weight problems now without easy access to food like they serve.
Looking forward to the next event maybe without the rain.
I live in Olympia also, and I should be taking delivery sometime the end of this month on my smart fortwo passion. Perhaps if we get enough interested people, we can start a chapter for those of us living in the south end!
KING 5 actually did the story three times. At 5PM they featured a short interview with AGENT 99. At 10PM on KONG and again at 11PM on KING they ran a slightly different story, featuring a short interview with dancote. Alas, I was left on the cutting room floor.
