I counted 15 cars at one point, 5 of which were 450s. As there was a little bit of coming and going, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the total number was in the 18-20 range.

It was great to see that many smart cars in one place!

It was also great to see a black/silver/leather car with tinted windows, because that's exactly what mine's going to be. It looks very sharp! The only decision I have left to make is whether or not I want to powder coat the spokes on the rims, but that would have to be done after delivery anyway.

Thanks! We really like it as well.

We had a fun time at the meet. While all of the cars were extremely interesting, I thought the motorized key looked much better than I thought it would (way better than the plastic suction cup version I used to have on an Isetta) and I especially liked Dave's yellow Passion with the comfort package since we also ordered that package with the red/silver exterior.

Dave, I'm really sorry to hear you wound up on the cutting room floor. I haven't seen the broadcast yet but a friend recorded it for me. By the way Agent 99 and Maxwel are our smart cars, I go by Dan aka smartie yank and the boss lady is Irene, just to keep the record straight.

I did see the 11 O'clock news and I like Dave wound up on the cutting room floor but Agent 99 did have her few seconds of fame.

Cheers, Dan

Sounds good to me. Let all of us know when your lucky smart day happens!

Actually Dan you did make the 5pm newscast. Something about hybrids being no fun and what happens in 7-8 years when the batteries and how much will they cost.

Sound familiar? For some reason they cut that footage and went to the other footage for the 11pm newscast.

Maybe they really like hybrids at King 5 and you rubbed them the wrong way

Yeah I don't tend to hold things back when someone asks me a question and I am definitely not a fan of hybrids, not very PC. I guess the editor just missed that one.;)

Nice to meet all of you

It was nice to meet the new Smart owners and see the rest of you again.

Hopefully many of you can join us for the driving school in the fall.

See you at the next gathering.

Bob

smart fortwo meet!

So..........anyone with any ideas on another lunch/dinner meet and greet?? There seems to be a lot of folks getting their cars, and it would be great to have another get-together for those of us who didn't have our cars yet for the first one!! Saturdays, preferably!! North end, south end, or somewhere in the middle, maybe?? Anybody interested?? Let's hear some ideas for places to meet.
Marty
