Bigcritter, were you drivable after the meeting of smart and raccoon?

$1400 doesn't sound so bad. My relatively minor rear-ender in January ran $2500.

Fender looks fine? Unless there is some damage I don't see...

I've got a front valence if you're interested, although now if the perfect time to step up with a S-Mann body kit ;)

Best,

-Dan

You got lucky, my raccoon encounter was over $2500. Both fog lights, radiator support, lower grill, right fender, radiator, airconditioning condenser and on! She was still driveable,(not the raccoon) Jetfuel has been longing for racoon since then!

So sorry that happened.

This morning I had Billy-Jim Bob ONCE AGAIN riding my butt while I was already doing 60 in a 45 (backroad in the woods, speed limit is optional). Suddenly a squirrel that was crossing the road decided to turn back even though he had already made it across the road!!! He made it underneath the car in-between the wheels AND under the ultralow U-Haul trailer hitch! He made it out without a scratch. Not 30 seconds later, a crow flies out of the woods and I swerved and missed him - if I would of went straight I would of nailed him but I was already on the way to the emergency room so I didn't want to turn around to pick up pieces of the car again.

Is this your culprit?

BEFORE!!!

AFTER!!!

Yeh, I continued home. Another 45 minutes or so. Then when I got close to home, within a couple of miles away, I heard something else fall off & then a rubbing sound, which I figured was the fascia rubbing slightly against the tire. I didn't stop after the collision, which maybe wasn't the best thing to do, but Saturday night there were a LOT of graduations going on, and there were a LOT of drunks out on the roads. So..... I decided that I didn't want to be over on the side of the interstate with my warning flashers going, which is like a big neon sign telling the drunks to "PLEASE HIT ME!" So I figured that as long as there weren't any strange noises, and no warning lights, or anything significant happening, I'd just keep driving. Really wasn't anything I could have done, anyway!
