New SOPNWet Club

SOPNWets is becoming official!

I have submitted the paperwork for an official SCOA club called SOPNWets ~ Smart Owners of the Pacific NorthWest.

This is our club to do as we wish. We can elect officers or just pass the volunteering around. The club can morph and grow in whatever we want.

I know there's a geographically wide spread group of us who have enjoyed several meets and I'm looking forward to more. Also, hoping we can bring in more people. I think one way to boost membership might be to plan some simple, local events that take little commitment in the way of time and expense.

What do YOU want from a smart club? How would you like to see SOPNWets develop? What kind of activities would you participate in? Would you like to be involved with the planning of meets, rallys and drives?

Suze

PS - Mods - could you please move this to the PNW region? Thanks

By counting the posters on this thread, I can pretty much guess who the four were who polled "yes" for the club

To continued fun... *tink*

Time to Vote for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasury, and Event Coordinator. - I would like to RailRoad Suze, Headers, Bigcritter, Timo, and Dunerunner for the above - in any order.

SOPNWet sounds a little bad to me, as we do have the Dry side of Wash. and Org. So I think we should Drop the "et" and just go with SOPNW, unless this just a West side thing.

Well Chuck, thanks for the railroad-vote of confidence...
and if it matters, the dry-side did get a few sprinkles today

What about the rest of you wet-siders? You are the majority, so chime in here and speak your mind! No judgement, no mmmeat-like responses, promise

Well, I thought SOPNWet was kinda cheesy, but not too many voted against.

But, sure, we can change it - whatever the majority wants. We are nothing if not flexible!

Now, about those officer nominations.... I vote Chuckabee as Supreme Leader. Maker of all decisions. In fact we'll call you the DECIDER!
