(at the expense of waiting reservers).

No it isn't at anyone's expense. Orphan Seekers are by definition waiting reservers.

If you buy an Orphan, you can either get your money back, or pay it forward...you've missed the whole point.

Orphan seekers are not all reservers (no $99 involved)

The spirit of the smart philosophy seems to change on a regular basis (we may need greater minds)

Pay it forward sounds good (charity auction, etc)

smart center Portland doesn't put your name on their Orphan list without a reservation number, no one here needs a condescending English lesson, a greater mind would not feel the need to respond further on this issue, why give grief to someone trying to help someone else? BTW - I haven't seen one willing member in the scP area step up to take advantage of this offer so, where's the beef?

To Know you is to Love you

Susie,

I know you well enough that you have done all the research on this. Smart Center Portland so easy to work with, I believe every word you said. I really don't know why there are people that feel the need to run around slashing anothers tires so to speak.

Let the begger go and hopefully someone takes you up on your offer!

See you at the Fall meet in McM.

Mikie

Both great stories Begger! People with big hearts do what they can afford to do to help out others. That is what Susie is trying to do, find a person on the Portland Orphan list and help them by configuring her car for them. A very generous and thoughtful gesture. I applaud her efforts!!

Howdy, oh pals o' mine - can't wait for our Fall smartness. My silver speck is always so happy to play with her brothers and sisters, whether dancing in parades, or posing for glamour pics in Beautiful Cities, or just humming along the highways and byways through our beloved Pacific Northwest.

Our family of smarties is sure growing, and our Fall party will give us long, happy memories to see us through the wintertime. I have a sneaky suspicion, though, that Dunerunner and Suze will come up with a Dead of Winter smartfest to keep the family fires burning until Spring...

Maybe earlier than that, 37 deg this morning on the coast!! Could be the start of a very icy winter in the valley.

And, of course, you too, Master Planner...Prosser was certainly orchestrated to perfection, and the visuals are stunning. More's the pity I couldn't participate...I was happy for everyone, but had a boobooface for me.

So, I didn't mean to slight, John, and looking forward to a smart shake o' the hand, Sir.

Say, if the weather is really going to be a freezy as they predict, could'nt we have a virtual campfire?

Gather around our roaring barbys, set up the webcams, sing carols, tell tall winter tales, and eat smores till the last hot toddy is drunk.

Could we do that?
