PDX Selected as Promo City for Pink Panther 2

Hot Off the Smart Center Portland Press...

Portland has been selected as a promotional city for the upcoming movie, Pink Panther 2. The smart car will have another starring role, giving all of us smarties increased pride in ownership, and being a member of of the smart center Portland family.

The screening is scheduled for Thursday, February 5 at 7pm at the Lloyd Center Cinemas. This promotion is in conjunction with Regal Cinemas.

I am still awaiting further details i.e. ticket info. If anyone is interested in attending, please send me a shout out and I will see what I can do.

This sounds like a great deal and will be good exposure for the smart. I'm a big Steve Martin fan, but....

These Pink Panther remakes are just embarrassing for all concerned. Steve Martin is a very funny guy, but he's no Peter Sellers or anywhere close. Even the final few of the original Pink Panther series were pretty bad, but nothing like the first remake; can't imagine this one will be any better (IMHO, of course.)

The tickets are here! Please note this screening is intentionally oversold, so be sure to get there early to get a seat!

Tickets are available at the dealership now - just contact Jeffrey, Shaun and Kate and they will hook you up.

Jeffrey will also be on site with a car handing out brochures and the like.

Yeah, we're big on using the airport code around here. I have no idea why. There's even a style of house called "Old PDX style".

Anyway, when I stopped by scpdx (Smart Center Portland, ) last night to pick up my pink panther tickets, I happened to mention that I noticed water droplets inside my brake light. I didn't know if it was condensation or leaking from the pressure at the car wash. After the usual jokes "Didn't you know you're not supposed to drive it in the rain?" HA HA! -- Service Manager, Bryce said he thought he might have a replacement brake light. I got to talking with the staff and before I knew it, Bryce had replaced the part and I was sready to go!

Today is Zippy's first birthday and I'm definitely feeling the smart-love.
