While Bon and I will not be able to attend, strongly suggest you consider taking the Old Road -- Historic Columbia River Highway, past Vista House/Crown Point back to Troutdale. A beautiful drive that will take you past five waterfalls that you can view from the comfort of your Smart. Enjoy...Jerry
I'm not going to pick a date on the poll, since so far, we've got one person for each date. Since I'm thinkin' that I can make any of those dates listed, I'll just "go with the flow" and wait and see what the majority decides! Haven't heard from Fred on this one! Since he's on the "dry side", is he afraid of getting "wet" or something? :>) BTW.....as a suggestion, Dunerunner mentioned the Full Sail Brewery is in Hood River, which would only be a short distance away if we did the "tour" of the various waterfalls along the gorge, starting at Multnomah (as Passionnut suggested, and taking the "Old Road" east). So I thought that maybe we might want to end our waterfall tour with a tour of the brewery. They also have an "eatery" for anyone who might want a bite before heading home! :>)

If there's a desire for a tour of the falls, those who are sensitive might want to pack some dramamine. Things get twisty and turny for so long that those of us with weak tummies yearn for the next change to hop back onto I84.

You're right! I had forgotten about that. Now that you mention it, I remember one other time down there that Terri was a little green before we finished the route, and we ended up hopping back on I-84 earlier than planned! :>( Thanks for bringing that up, John!
