What's on the list of parts?

Rear Center Panel?
Right Rear Fender?
Bumper Brace?
Muffler?

Labor?

What else is driving the price up?

Haven't seen the list yet, I just got a preliminary total this afternoon from the adjuster after they'd talked to scp.

The exterior damage will probably mean at least the rear bumper and panel below the tailgate, as well as the right rear fender. None of the lights were damaged so far as I know. The muffler had a big old crease in it, so that's got to be replaced. I haven't had a chance to talk to Bryce to find out what else needs to be done.

Sorry to hear that...I was rear ended on 1/2/09..too and I was stopped. So dont feel bad. Im glad you are ok. There are alot of drivers who simply don't pay attention. Now would be the time to upgrade your exhaust and possibly get that rear lip kit.
I am sorry to hear about what happen and again I am glad you are ok and know what you mean about that jolt... its not a good feeling.

A few weeks ago a Supra was weaving in and out of traffic cutting people off and when I crested the next hill he was head-first in the guardrail spinning his wheels to get out. I know it doesn't pay the bill, but karma will get this guy.

Yeah, I was at a light, too. I'm thankful he wasn't moving fast enough to push me into the car in front, but I do tend to leave some space ahead at lights.

He wasn't just not paying attention. According to a couple of witnesses, he'd been riding hard on the bumper of two young women in a car for a dozen blocks before they pulled over into the right lane to get away from the guy. They'd just moved over when he ran into me. The women even stopped to see if I was okay.

As for the upgrades, probably not for now. I'm in what you might call a "re-training" phase, so we're not shelling out anything extra. The deductible's enough.

Unless, of course, I get some of that bailout money from the Fed!

I do understand where you comming from and im all up for not spending extra ..trust me. An aftermarket exhaust is around $349- $500. If your factory exhaust cost about the same just tell the repair shop or dealer dont order the exhaust and that you will bring the exhaust you want them to install to them. Once you recieve the ck from your insurance company take out the money they gave you for the exhaust and then order the aftermarket one of your choice that is about the same price. Have it shipped directly to the repair shop or dealer. Or you can have it shipped to you and you can just bring it to them.

The same process goes for a rear lip kit if you want. You sometimes may need to add 50 or $100 dollars but that beats paying full price for an aftermarket part you want.
I recommend have the Smart center near you repair your vehicle and you shouold be fine.
