He's full of it. Just the 'trunk' comment alone voids his creditability for me. My wife and I just spent a 4 day weekend with our daughter. We had two med size suitcases, A ten gallon plastic tote bin and two big bags full of stuff....and all this was packed to where it did not block my vision. Sour grapes....I agree!!!

I was told I shouldn't use premium fuel.
Now I'm reading everywhere that I'm supposed to.

If I remember correctly, the manual says to use Premium fuel for best performance.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

To maintain the engine's durability and performance, premium unleaded gasoline must be used.

...

Only use premium unleaded fuel:
  • The octane number (posted at the pump) mist be 91 min.

tonkin's smart on ebay. sheesh!

You all were right of course.

Check it out:

He says:

“we were offered Smart Cars from G&K Automotive Conversion well before anyone else. However, the price they would have had to be sold for was between $23,000 and $28,000. I felt I could never have faced a client who paid that kind of money for a vehicle that was going to be able to be sold by a franchised dealer in just a few months for $14,000 to $19,000.”

But then:

He sure contradicts himself in this Ebay listing where he IS asking $23,000
for what he describes as "a car that meets evey (sic) need while delivering phenomenal economy and avant-garde styling."
