Caught up to an 09 Blk/Red coupe on Canal Dr in Kennewick today after the lunch hour-- the couple waved and honked back. We were both heading east and chatted at the red lights at Edison and again at Volland.
They got their car in April from scPDX and want to put an ad out to get some local smarts together for a meet. I told them to come here to scoa. So if you find us-- here we are!!
Sitting at the red light on 240 heading north at the Aaron dr/I-182 intersection this afternoon before 2 pm... a Black/Gray coupe. I gave a blast on the horn but I don't think there was any attention being paid.
Turning into the Albertsons lot on Clearwater in Kennewick this afternoon, there was a yellow bumblebee (with bumblebee logo and striping) parked out by the fuel center. If I hadn't been on my way in to do a job, I would have lurked till owner appeared......
We need to find a way to get these new Smarties attention. We could get the dozen+ that I KNOW are running around town now together and have an actual gathering!!
While walking down for my morning half gallon of diet dr pepper today, I saw not one, but two blue/black smarts! One, a pure, was parked by the gas station on 21st and Lovejoy. The other, a passion, drove past me near 24th and Lovejoy.
Dont know that I've ever seen two other smarts in 10 minutes before, outside of at the dealership!
A bumblebee crossed our path on Hawthorne in Portland a couple of blocks ahead of us on 37th the other day, then just a few minutes later we pulled into the parking lot of the Walgreen's at 39th & Belmont and after my wife got out of the car I realized we were parked one over and across from a bruiser with the plate "WEE TOY".
saw 3 smarts on the way home today, 2 of them parked on the curb, a gray 451 at SW 21st and Salmon, a white 451 at SE 9th and Belmont and a white 450 at NE 133 and Glisan in a driveway.
Saw a yellow and black bee parked in front of the Crab Kettle. Stopped and met Debbie who gave me the story of the smartie.
It was ordered by her mother who was very ill. She waited a year and a half for the car and pass away shortly after taking possession. Debbie "inherited" the car and smarts around knowing her mother is riding with her.
