Well, the Bellingham Ski to Sea Parade was a big success, and a REALLY fun time. We had 7 smarts on parade, and a good time was had by all!

We all met Saturday morning at Bob Taylor's Master Auto Tech Shop in Bellingham at 09:30 am, where he & his lovely wife Becki provided Starbuck's coffee, muffins, donuts, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, etc. for filling our tummys prior to the parade. Then we practiced some quick maneuvers in the parking lot prior to heading over to the parade staging area. We arrived early & got our cars parked on a side street, and spent the time spiffing up our cars. I added some other "stuff" to mine for the parade while we were waiting for our slot..........#85. Roughly 1 1/2 hrs. after arriving, we were moved out into the street for the parade. Everything went really well, and all of the parade observers seemed to really love our smarties. Lots and lots of yells, applause, and thumbs-up along the route. Also lots of picture taking, and probably some videos as well. I had my windows down and the stereo cranked up playing Lee Greenwood's "I'm Proud to be an American" as we rolled down the parade route. Lots of "thumbs up" for that, as well. We were also tossing "smarties" candies to the little kids on the sidelines as we rolled along.

The parade was a LOT of fun. Afterwards, we headed over to the Fairhaven community for a wonderful Mexican lunch. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. I just can't remember the name of the restaurant!

Afterwards, everyone left except for Bob & Becki, who gave Terri and I a little walking tour of Fairhaven. They both know a LOT about the area they live in, and made excellent hosts for the rally/gathering! THANKS Bob & Becki for your wonderful hospitality!!
