I want to evoke a very special thank you to SmartMadness for their support of the PNW SCOA Chapter Rally in Prosser, Wa. over the last weekend. Although supporting another event in southern California, they made the effort to support our rally with some very nice 'FREE' goodies which we passed out at the Shy's Pizza get together.

Thank you SmartMadness and SmartGurl for all you did to help make this event a success.

I sent Smart Gurl an e-mail, but I did not hear back so maybe she so busy selling stuff she didn't have time. We had a bunch of smiling people carrying off goodies. One of them was Emma from Sunnyside with the 450. She bought her car from a used car dealer in Yakima and had not seen another Smart. Her sister was at the Prosser Farmers Market and called her. She came down and spent the day with us. She does not have a computer so I will get her some photo's and keep her up on what is happening. The photo op missed was her and Timo, and Bigcritter side by side. If she is 4'6" it's a stretch. She needed an air compressor and that is what she got. Who new. Luck of the draw. Thanks Smartmadness!!!!!

We showed up in Prosser simply to have fun (successfully) and your contibution was a pleasant bonus.

I know you gave me a chance to apologize offline, but I felt I needed to do so publicly

Yes, you were correct, I simply let your read mail get pushed down in my mail box as I didn't want to reply when I had first seen it on a late night, knowing that I "would" respond the next day; well it never happened. I learned a valuable lesson from my procrastination, don't let a late night response be an excuse, otherwise there will never be a response due to physics... and I know that is not what I want, more so to our friends in the community. Please accept my apology.

I am glad that we were able to contribute to the success of the run. It sounds like the compressors came in handy- yay! Want to know the funniest part? Our dear friend StarLord told us that there's a back up under the passenger side footwell! We had NO CLUE! And if we didn't know? I betcha there's a heck of a lot of others who don't know either... we were just handed the keys, and I never RTFM (read the blank manual) it's always plug and play

Thank you again for reaching out to us, it was a pleasure of ours to be with smarts in another state.

It's still a "nice to have handy" in the garage without having to pull out the factory supplied unit.

Wasn't Emma's smartie a 450 model, though? Do the 450s come with an air compressor? If not, then it went to the best person that it could go to!

Most of the 450s were stripped of options when they left Europe. So many have aftermarket stereos since the factory unit was removed. I have not seen a 450 yet in the US that had a smart OEM air compressor / flat tire repair kit, but there are some aftermarket ones that are a perfect fit. The one I have I got at Autozone, and its even labeled as being a "smart" flat tire repair kit. And it fits in the storage tray above the battery perfectly.
