Central Florida 1st Meet & Greet

The Central Florida Smart Cars held their 1st meet and greet today at Renninger's car show and swap meet in Mt. Dora. We had 14 smarts plus an owner awaiting delivery attend. This included a 450 model which was fun to see and make comparisons.

Everyone seems to have had a great time and we sure generated a lot of interest from other people at the meet.

I have included a few pictures below.

We now have 33 smarts on our Central Florida contact list. If anyone else would like to be on our contact list please PM me with your Name, e-mail address, city of residence, and model and color of your smart and we will add you to our list.

Our next get together will likely be at the grand opening of Orlando's new showroom on July 3rd. I will get info and forward it to everyone. After that we will likely have a Sat night event at Old Town in Kissimmee on July 25th. More details to follow.

It was so much fun meeting everybody and seeing all the smarties, especially how y'all have individualized each one. I like Arthur. Thank you for painting yours that color, I have been trying to explain it to my wife what one would like that color and she can't visualize it. That being said, your color is what she wants, I have another color in mind. Now that another is out there your color - I don't have to worry as my requirement is it must be 1 of a kind. Yours is now so I can't duplicate it. It looks rich/classy. I like mine kinda on the trashy side (gaudy).....more to come once I shoot it. I'm going to have to schedule a trip to my sister's house down there during one of your GTG weekends.

I want to say it was great to meet everyone and I had a wonderful time at the meet. It was great seeing all the enthusiam and variety. Definitely looking forward to some future meetings. I'm secretly hoping the new gallery opening is delayed a week since I will be out of town July 4th weekend. Though driving past it this morning, I don't see HOW they can meet that aggressive date.

Hey Bum-bling-B! Show your wife the 2008 Mitsubishi Orange Pearlescent. I was thinking about that one too but decided it was a bit too flashy, look-at-me for my blood! Sounds right up y'all's alley!

Flashman, Ken mentioned in an e-mail this afternoon that he'd talked to Julie and the Open House at the new dealership will prolly be about a month after they've opened and on a weekday evening. Traffic through the center is too heavy to hold it on a weekend. Don't the other guys wish they had that problem!!

Now I'm gonna head over to the gallery to figure out how to post photos. If I flunk I'll just email mine to Kwager and let him post 'em in this thread.
