Central Florida Events Schedule as of July 28

Smarties,
I have scheduled a couple of new meet and greets and our contact list is now up to 82 smart cars so I thought it would be prudent to go over our event schedule for the next few months as things now stand.
1. Our next event was just scheduled this weekend and is a Breakfast Meet and Greet and Cruise in to the new Orlando Dealership scheduled for Saturday, August 9th. We will meet at 8:30 AM at Le Peep restaurant located at 4666 Kirkman Road, Orlando which is just 2.5 miles from the new dealership. We will eat upon arrival and then caravan to the new Dealership to see the facilities and say hi to the staff. I am hopeful we might be able to get a group photo of our smarts with the dealership in the background. No reservation are needed for this event but it would help me to know if you are planning to attend. I realize this event maybe difficult for those of you living an hour or more from Orlando.
2. On Saturday Evening August 16th we will be at the Willow Tree in Sanford for our dinner and show. There were only 40 reservations available for this and they are all filled so unfortunately we cannot accept any more reservations. Our seating is at 7:30 PM. I will arrive by 7:00 PM and would ask that everyone arrive by 7:20 PM. It should be a great night of fun!
3. On Friday September 19th we will have a meet and greet at the Wing House of Winter Park located at 227 S. Semoran Blvd in Winter Park. We will meet at 6:00 PM for Beer and Wings on the deck overlooking the parking area. This is a non-reservation event but I would like to know if you are coming. Those that may arrive a bit late due to work or traffic should come on down as I am sure we will hang out for at least a couple of hours.
4. Finally I have just made reservations for 30 people at the Sugar Mill Restaurant in DeLeon Springs State Park, 7 miles North of DeLand for Sunday morning October 5 at 9:00AM. 30 is the maximum number of reservations that they will take for a given time on a weekend. The Sugar Mill is a unique breakfast restaurant built in an old sugar mill. Each table has a griddle mounted in the middle of the table. Their specialty is excellent pancakes. If you order pancakes and/or eggs they are brought to your table and you cook them and eat them at your leisure at your table. It’s unique and great fun. You can check them out at the following website: The Old Spanish Sugar Mill, Restaurant located in the DeLeon Springs State Recreation Area, Florida Reservations are cancelled 10 minutes after reservation time if the people have not shown up so it’s very important that we arrive on time. There is a $5 charge per car to enter the State Park and the restaurant is inside of the park. This is a by reservation event and will be limited to the first 30 persons contacting me. As a side note, if we go way over 30 people interested we may be able to get a second reservation later in the day such as 11:00 AM but this opportunity will disappear over time so I need to gauge your interest and intentions as early as possible. Please make your reservations by e-mailing me and be sure to let me know how many will be in your party.

I have not scheduled any events between August 16th and September 19th because Vickie and I will be Motorcycling in the Colorado Rockies from August 21st to Sept 7. If someone else would like to coordinate any events during this time and will get the details to me I will be happy to send out notification.

I would really like to schedule an event somewhere in the area of Leesburg, Wildwood and the Villages but need advice from some of you living there with regard to places and dates to meet. The same goes with the Plant City to Brandon areas if anyone from the Tampa area has any suggestions. If you have any ideas please let me know.

As always, thanks for your support and participation and drive safely out there!

Ken
