Emerald Coast Smart Car Club at Uptown Station

Smarties,

We had one of our largest turn outs to date with a record 12 Smart cars and 18 members! Thanks to all that joined us, especially Mike & Beth and Linda who made their first meeting. It was great meeting them (and their Smarts).

We met and talked in the Uptown Station parking lot from 12pm noon until around 2:30pm when 9 of us enjoyed some wings at Buffalo Reef before heading our own ways. The weather was perfect and I think not only did everyone learn something about our Smart cars but we all had a wonderful time re-connecting with the Club members. Martin Owen from Crystal Beach Development is the director of marketing and advertising for Uptown Station. You saw him snapping a few photos. He posted them on their website (http://uptownstation.com/emerald-coast-smart-car-club-visits-uptown-station). I'll post copies in the photo album on our website. He said that the Muscle Car Club meets for coffee & cars at Uptown Station monthly and said that if we'd like to meet there again he'd gladly publicize the event for us.

Our next get together will be Saturday, May 30th, at LuLu's which is located at 220 E 25th Ave in Gulf Shores, AL. Mark your calendars! Many of you know this as the restaurant on the water which is owned by Jimmy Buffett's sister, Lucy. Check out their website for more info. I'll send out more details as we get into the month of May.

Thanks Vic for shareing the pictures...looks like once again everyone had a great time, sorry we couldn't make it but hope to be there for Mays' get together. How far away is Gulf Shores, Alabama from the Fort Walton Beach area...Linda is wondering? And another question please, how come you are the only guy in all the pictures? Plenty pictures of the beautiful ladies but then there was you! LOL

Martin Owen seemed to like my custom tag, huh? In the gallery photos I hogged 3 out of 14 photos!

It was really good to see everybody. And that 450, the first I've seen 'in the flesh'. Very cool.
