Florida news?

Seems Florida smarties are experiencing a news blackout. Perhaps a hung chad?

Any dealers opening soon? Any dealers from FL get their packet? Any reservation early holders get any contact?

I have heard nothing regarding Florida. Tried to contact two dealers yesterday. Could not reach anyone that knew anything. Have seen no postings regarding any Florida contacts as of yet.

Hang in there and know that many others are 'hanging' with you. I've read that our state is finally starting to notify members, so hopefully Florida will start, too. Heck, I'm to the point where I don't know if I should expect the phone to ring or keep checking the e-mail every few minutes. Either way, I've not sat right by the computer today, like I did, yesterday. With this being Friday, it would be really nice if we didn't have to go into a weekend on pins and needles if we are 'expecting' to be notified early. Keep your fingers crossed..even though I've discovered that it slows down my typing tremendously..(grin)

My dealer told me yesterday that his packets, WPB, were mistakenly shipped to NY. They were supposed to be getting them today.

WPB is two weeks away from opening. They have probably not yet received their "good to go" from PAG which caused their FedEx to go to Saratoga, NY.

Their computers are not hooked up yet, and the PAG rep needs to come and get them hooked up to the smart Connect system.

They appear to be courteous consultants (Dawn and Matt). I'm sure that once they get set up it will be a pleasure dealing with them.

Anyone hear any news regading the Rick Case store in Davie?

Got my e-mail a few minutes ago. Car has been assigned to the Orlando dealer who is in final prep for opening. Spoke to them briefly. They could not give me more specific info on the phone but said they would e-mail me within the next hour with more details.

Can now breath normally again.

Hang in there everyone it's by fits and starts but good stuff is happenning.

Spoke to my dealer again in Orlando.
They are completing their showroom and won't be certified by smart until mid next week and won't have their Florida license until at least a week after that.
No cars until those steps are complete.
They were notified that an e-mail was sent to me but it does not appear they yet have the level of detail that already upen dealers have.

I suspect this is the issue for most if not all of the Florida reservations.

Would appreciate knowing when any other Floridians recieve info and what dealer they are assigned to.

I'm trying to figure out how a dealer license could be held up. All of the smart dealers are already new car dealers - they already have the license. The state does not care what franchise you have for license purposes.
