I just got home from a little pleasure driving around town. On West 98, headed East. Just East of Gulf Coast Community College, just past the intersection of US 98 and 23rd Street ... around 5:45-5:50 PM. A Bumblebee with what appeared to be some sort of commercial wrap. He/she was hauling A$$ through traffic. I blew my air horn as the car passed me on the left, and tried to catch up. But, in a 45 MPH zone ... he/she must have more money to throw away on speeding fines than I do. They lost me.

This was only the second smart I personally have spotted "in the wild", away from gatherings.

ok fellow floridians....I am looking at an orphan and i do not want to pay a premium...but i may hav to...what is a 2008 with 20 miles going for....anyone????anyone??????

i located one here in JAX, just need some insight for the $$ i may have to spend to get an orphan....any idea what a 2008 with 20 miles on it should be priced at?

Most '08 models that you will see have dealer installed options (racing stripes, tach/clock) to help boost interest in that vehicle. You may have a better chance to get a 2009 model for less money. What exactly were you looking for in your smart?

Do not pay a premium for these the dealerships can not even sell them the economy is so poor. Go on ebay there is a load of them on there for 15k and under

Hi John! Sadly you are correct about our struggling economy : ( however, we disagree about not being able to sell fortwos. We find more people everyday, like you, who love smart!!! Business is steady and moving forward here at smart center Tampa. We do have more inventory at the momment but it is disappearing quickly. This added orphan inventory is only a plus for folks like you who didn't want to wait for their reservation. Now you have even more to choose from. We have all trim levels available currently. bear623 call us (813-712-2777 ask for John or Justin) for full details...I'm sure we will have something you would be interested in. Furthermore, we have used 2008 fortwos starting at only $12995...so don't go pay "15k" on ebay like suggested.
