I saw a Smart at....THE FLORIDA SMART SIGHTINGS THREAD

I was in Tallahassee today. At 1 PM EST, I saw a white (not sure of Tridion color) coming out of Tallahassee Community College onto West Pensacola Street (Hwy 366). I was headed East, and tapped my horn a couple times. Don't know whether the driver noticed me or not. If so, was probably wondering why that Toyota Tacoma with the commercial lettering was beeping at them. Anyone here?

Ya know, there have been several times when I could swear non-smart drivers were beeping at me. Maybe they were in their 'other car' at the time.

Wow, only 17 days since my previous sighting ... but, that wasn't in Panama City. My last Panama City sighting was 76 days ago. Today's was my 3rd (that's IT) in Panama City (excepting organized gathering).

At 4:10 PM CDT I was stopped on Eastbound Business Hwy 98 at the intersection of Alternate Hwy 98, in Parker. I spotted it approaching from behind in my mirror. An older gentleman in a Red/Black Cabrio pulled up in the lane to my right. We both had out tops back (naturally) and windows down. We talked for a minute waiting for the light to change. He had an accent I couldn't identify, but said he was from Texas and just passing through. I told him about my planned road trip in the Fall, then the light changed.

Maybe everyone else is seeing smarts so frequently that it has lost noteworthiness to them? I seem to be the only one adding to this thread.

Spotted a Red/silver around 11:45 AM today. She pulled up to the left of me at the traffic light on Hwy 77 & 23rd Street in Panama City, headed south. I was into my music, which I had playing pretty loud, and didn't even notice her until the light turned green and she pulled out a little faster than I did, getting ahead of me. I tapped my air horn, we waved, and I think she took a right on hwy 231 while I continued South.
My 4th wild smart sighting in Panama City since introduction to the US. Still noteworthy to me.

Sorry I didn't mention this a few minutes earlier.......but I got sidetracked and completely forgot about it until earlier.

Today at 4:08 PM in Martin Luther King Blvd near Hurlburt Road in Fort Walton Beach I saw a Silver w/Black tridion cabrio. Waved to driver but was ignored. I was driving the BRIGHT LIME GREEN METALLIC Smart plus I was waving like crazy. Driver must of been very focused on the road.

Saturday June 27. Saw a red with black tridion convertible on I-75 around Ocala. They were in the right lane doing 70mph, lady and man friend (husband?). I was in the left lane doing a little faster than that - I slowed to 70 for a millisecond, waved then had to hit the gas again as the flow of traffic was 90mph.

Hi if that was you. I was driving the Lime Green Smart.

It had been almost three months since my last sighting. Just past 6 PM today, I pulled into the Winn Dixie on South Tyndall Parkway. He'd apparently pulled in just moments before me since he hadn't yet opened his door to get out, and I pulled in right beside to the left. It was a 2009 Blue/Black Coupe. We walked and talked into the store ... I told him he should check out SCOA. It was news to him.

Today at 3:54pm I once again saw the WHITE PURE rounding the corner of Green Acres and Beal Parkway in Fort Walton Beach. Waved like crazy but the lady driving was too preoccupied with "driving" see me. White Pure, silver tridion, no tinted windows - AND A/C.

OH! I forgot! Also saw on HWY 98 today at 12:30pm - red 2008 coupe with silver tridion and tinted windows. Saw owner still waving behind the tinted side window.

I was passing Westboud through Port St. Joe at around 4:20 CDT (5:20 EDT). Saw a Yellow/Black coming off a side road to the South. Most likely he was doing the same as I was doing, driving around scouting out Tropical Storm Claudette.
I flashed my high beams, and gave him the for two hand wave as he passed by headed East.
