Just some info I received from the Jacksonville Dealer...
We will be the dealership serving your area. We are currently delivering the cars that were ordered around March of last year. Since you placed you reservation in July, it should be a few months before your car is here. Smart has also been delivering more cars to us than expected which would expediate the list. We also have a list of people that are ready to buy that I can place you on so that you are covered on that end as well. If you have any other questions, you can either contact me at 904.253.7300 or the Smart center at 1.800.762.7887. The Smart center can usually give you a approximate timeframe for you car.

Well thats good news. I am an 1180 and ordered in March last year. They have contacted me but not delivery time frame as of yet. I suspect late this month. March. No hurry for me. One payment on the truck then car debt free for a bit anyway. My fuel bill is around 275.00 a month so the Smart will be a welcome addition.

So nice that the Jacksonville dealer is trying to earn their excessively high "doc prep" fee. Luckly my California dealer is just a nice for $55 doc prep.

Just brought home an orphan from the Jacksonville dealer and I couldn't be happier with their group of salespeople. It's been 18 years since we bought a new car and I seem to remeber paying fees out the yahoo so I don't groan about these doc fees and since they are being charged throughout Florida, we would pay them one way or another. Alex Shelver was our salesman, a very professional and sensative young man. He went out of his way to make sure we understood the ins and outs of the smart, apologized for not having some of the options we wanted and made sure our car was ready to go when we finished the paperwork. We look forward to returning in a month or so for the options to be put on. I am thrilled with the Jacksonville dealership and our Salesman, way to go Jacksonville!

That's great to hear Susie! Glad to know someone had a positive experience. I'm just not looking forward to the drive. I'm thinking about flying over then driving back.

1180 here. Going to call to cancel my reservation tonight. There will be a Black w/Silver tridon Passion going up on the orphen list at the JaxSmart Center for all who are interested. Decided on the Yaris.

I just called and talked to Denise, very nice lady and I am on the orphan list. I am so far down the reservation list and really want one today.

they offered to put me on the list, but i really need to sell my SUV first. good luck with getting an orphan

Can hardly stand it. West coast has been smart for a minute. I'm stuck on Hyundai till nov the earliest. Antivenom won't last forever. I'm not Blade you know.
