Anyway, decided to just go ahead and put the 99 down so that hopefully by the time the car is built and shipped (hopefully less than two years like I was told at the dealership in Tampa) the dealerships will get their acts together and actually have some SmartCar showing.

Thisll give me some time to save up at least half the cost of the car too.

My first car as well.

Havent seen any of you guys driving around town yet, Ive been dying to see one in person - even if its just a drive by on 275 or something.

Nope your number translates to the following: 1502 is your code for the date you made the reservation. My code was 1173 for March 17, 2007, yours is 329 days after I did mine (1502-1173=329). 507391 backwards is 19:37:05 or 7:37:05 Pacific Time when your reservation was received. The whole thing is just a time/date code.

You should get your car near the end of 2008. Mine took 10 months from reservation to delivery. Yours will take about 8-10 months.

I was going to get the Pure with the AC and Stereo upgrades, but I decided that power locks, alloy wheels, paddle shifter and the few other extras the Passion comes with were worth it (only about 1000 more over the Pure with the upgrades.)

Do you guys know if theyre going to actually build a SmartCenter next to the Mercedes dealership here?

The Smart Center in Tampa is the old Mazda dealership at Hillsborough and Dale Mabry. It is just south of the Nissan dealership. Hopefully it will open in March. Dominic Ford is the contact and is working out of his office in the MB dealership.

Goto sarrasotta dealer ..they have five there and 2 you can test drive..
