Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival-Lakeland, FL October 17-19

To all Florida smarties.
This years Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival is scheduled for October 17 to 19 in Downtown Lakeland, FL. This is a very large and well attended classic car show that takes place on the streets of Downtown Lakeland. It starts on Friday night with a special hot rod show and a free concert on the Lake Mirror shores with the main car show all day on Saturday.

The show happens to be sponsored by Mercedes Benz.

I have contacted the organizers to see if we could participate in the show with our smarts and if we could be provided with a space specifically for our cars and the response was that they would love to have us there.

Each person showing a car does need to register in advance but I think it would be great if we could get 10, 20 30 or more smarts there for Friday night and Saturday.

They are sending me further information and as soon as I recieve it I will post it here. In the meantime mark your calendars now. Even if you choose not to participate you may want to visit on Friday night or Sat to enjoy the hundreds of cars on display.

To my great dissapointment I have to be out of state for the Lake Mirror Classic in Lakeland on October 17-19 and will be unable to participate.

They are willing to arrange a parking area for smarts if enough register for the show and the details and registration materials are now available on their web-site at lakemirrorclassic.com

Registration is $35 up until October 1 when it goes up to $50. If anyone would like to coordinste this effort it would be appreciated. The contact for smart space is Virginia Askew who is reachable at 863-683-2228.
