Kwagar,

I think you're right ** one of their biggest problems is that they are understaffed. Then you look at CFL Chrysler, the rest of the dealership there, and they have salepeople roaming loose everywhere. In follow-up, they did finally get my quote to me, and the final price was in the low 16s (I don't have the sheet with me). Almost $1K in sales tax, the much ballyhooed $499 in doc fees, license and title fees <$300, etc.

Last night, I passed my Jeep off to the CarMax I bought it from two years ago and am scheduled to take delivery of Ta-mater this afternoon. Pray for me. (And anyone who wants a car besides a smart, check out CarMax. I've been very pleased with doing business there.)

Nada. They did give me a decent key ring and two bottles of smart water. I was in the business and can tell you that Judon delivered the car with total professionalism. No hassle at F&I time, and no rush-rush.

I'm not sure his post is worth free window tint. However, I don't think the window tint is worth $395, either. I wouldn't have minded the key chain because they have a nice one out of the accessory book. At delivery time, Julie and Judson were quick, friendly, and handled the transaction as well as any other dealership I have dealt with, including CarMax (who also didn't give free window tinting, if you are wondering...).

But now I have it!!! Pictures to follow. I am so happy that the wait is over!

Red,
I'm thrilled that you have your smartie and that things went well with the Dealership. I think they have come a long way.

Have fun!

Hey kwagar!. Just read your letter to PAG. Very well articulated. I suspect in the future you might get a phone call offering some type of position there to help them get rid of the "oh s**t" after thoughts and a case of sevear "over site", commonly called craineal rectalitis. Still waiting here too for the Jax Dealership to get fully functional.

Does anybody know where I would be able to purchase the pod set for my Smart car I was told by the dealership I had to have them installed them. I can't see spending the money to have their technician put them in when it is such a simple job to do myself.

Dealer should be able to sell you the part if you want to install it yourself.

oil change

If anybody's interested I don't know if you were given the same line of BS when you purchased your Smart car from the Orlando dealership. That you had to go to the dealership to have your oil changed or you would lose your warranty this is not true. The salesperson at Smart car dealership evidently does not know their product I checked with the main office to find out that she was getting out false information. Anyhow I did find out in Clermont the Mobil one is a authorize place to get your oil change for your Smart car and he does have the filters in stock.

Not sure where all the hate for the Orlando dealership is coming from... I've had nothing but good experiences with them and it's the only shop I'll let work on my cars... I drive over all the way from Tampa... The service guy is top notch and even comes to our local meets when he can...
