Orlando Smart Center 1st 100 Party

The Smart Center Orlando is having an open house/party on Sat afternoon at the dealership to thank the 1st 100 owners from the dealership.

I thought that was a nice touch and am planning on being there.

Hope to see some of you there as well.

As you know they changed it from $799 to $499 and are equal or below the other smart centers in Florida as well as other auto dealers including their own parent dealer.

I know this continues to be a problem for you and others but all I ever asked of them was to be at or below the state average of all dealers and they did that.

I got beyond the issue. Sorry others haven't.

The fact is they don't have to have the party but they are!

My dealer in Beverly Hills, California (not exactly a low rent district) only charged me $55 and also hosted a nice party as well. Glad you're over your $499 (actually now their $499). I still have my $444. Just because other dealers in Florida also overcharge their customers does not make it right!

I hope they give you a hosted bar for their $499 in extra dealer profit.

I guess I should sell my home in Florida and move to LA and buy a similar home for three times the price then I can take advantage of all of the great money saving deals there.

Imagine the party if smart, smartUSA and the dealers didn't sign an agreement to stick to the MSRP? With such a high demand, the "markup" (for better word of any dealer's fee) wouldn't be in the low hundreds but in the thousands...

Lets get back to the post....I think its great that the dealer is doing this. They know we are out selling their cars, so this is a very nice gesture in return. I have no issues whatsover with the Orlando dealer. They have stayed in touch with their customers by following up after the sale, notifying us when accessories are available, and they are even throwing us a party!
I'll be there!

SPDickey, For someone who didn't have to pay it, the doc fee seems to have stuck in your craw more than anyone else in the forum ** it's always part of your response to anyone from Florida. I'm happier paying out the extra $444 and never having to deal with the traffic, cost of living, or gross personal attitudes of the people I've met in my trips to LA. In fact, I'll start referring to the DOC fee as a "Don't live in that Orange County" fee and it seems all the more palatable.
