I was extremely disappointed with the event today.

I drove my SMART car there. I parked with all the other SMART cars and went to the patio to find the other participants.

Where was the group? There were no signs, no one watching for new people approaching, no nothing.
I don't think I should have had to approach each person to see if they were there for the event, so I went inside and asked the host where everyone was. He replied that he didn't know where the group was but believed they were on the patio. So once again, I went to the patio and walked through, hoping I could locate the group, but I did not so I got back in my SMART car and left.

Apparently the group that was meeting all knew one another and weren't interested in welcoming new members into the group, and if you were, you sure had a lousy way of showing it.

If this is what I can expect at future events, you can expect me not to be there.

Keyroo, Sorry we missed you. The Host should have known where we were seated. We were seated when you drove in and expected to see you come in. We had a place for you, but did not recognize you when you came in. We had stayed by the cars for quite a while before going inside. Hope you will try again. Either come a little early or let us know what you look like. Some of us will be at cars and coffee next Saturday and we will have another supper next month.

I'm sorry we missed you... I believe it was the first time for most of us at that resturant and the staff service level left something to be desired. Also, this was only our second get together so we're still quite informal... I'll be posting the plans for our October meet in the next couple of days, please give it another shot.

Also, if you can make cars and coffee next Saturday it's a blast!! We park right upfront so you can't miss us!! Hope to see you there.
