st pete times article on smart

did anyone see the article on the smart cart in the st pete times, it said that lokey in clearwater had delivered 300 cars since january 1st ,funny thing is that dealership didn't even open till the begining of march,I picked my car up from wilde in sarasota the end of february ,and the clearwater dealer wasn't open ,and if they opened march 1st and have delivered 300 cars so far ,thats 100 a month ,up until this past saturday when I went to a gathering of other owners , I haven't seen but 1 smart in the 10 weeks I've owned mine

I just happend to read the article while visiting friends and relatives in Tampa! Although I didn't see a single smart fortwo while I drove 1,000 miles in Florida (had to go up to Tally for our son's college graduation), but my brother-in-law captured a yellow/silver tridion on his cell phone camera. So, my guess would be that their market area has been pretty large. That should change with the Tampa dealer opening and getting up to speed. Be safe!

I live just north of Hernando County, about 25 miles. Nice to see they're being delivered in the St. Pete/Tampa area now. Before the closest dealer was in Sarasota; now there is one in Tampa and one in Clearwater.

HEY! That's my color scheme! Of course I'm a 1340 so I'm still waiting until August as a minimum (according to DDE). FINALLY I got to see a yellow/black with bug guts red interior. Looks like he's missing the tach/clock pods so it isn't exact.
