Arizona Dealer called...Said I was the first on the list to call!!

I got my call today from Tracy Gurnett Smart Center Chandler / Mercedes-Benz of Chandler... She stated when she open up the FEDEX package with the list I was the first on the list... YEPPEE!!! Tracy suppose to do a follow up with a e-mail today and then will give me a call next Wednesday to make arrangement for pick up.. since I'll be out of town looks like Jan. 20th will be my pick-up. My Smart car is state side in California now. My confirmation number is 7244111173.. My friend has 9081211175, she on the list but her car is still at the plant and is told she will get her's in about 45 day's.

Life is Good!!!

BTW she didn't have the VIN number so I could track it.

congratulations!!! I stopped by the dealer on Tuesday and had a nice conversation with Sean (Tracy was busy) and he went over a lot of info on the car they have on the floor. Since the car is exactly what I had ordered, I asked if I could just drive that one home. He didn't bite so I'll just have to be patient and keep waiting. And if Teapots reads this, I did all my drooling on the floor model so I should be good for when you take me for a ride!

Any other zonies get a call from Tracy today? I'd be interested to know if they have a total number of reservations yet or whether its just the first batch.

Unfortunately I don't expect to hear from Tracy for a little while still. I am a 1329. I will be popping into the dealer again soon and see how it looks and try and get a guesstimate on when us late reservers might hear something.

Did Tracy say how many reservations are for her dealership?

No she did not.. I don't think she really knows that answer.. sound like she only knows of the 55 for now that were on her list for the moment. She did state that they would start off slow..and it will pick up once they get use to the process.

As soon as anyone knows when they will have test drive cars, let me know. I still need to get it out on the road.

Tracy told me they will be setting appointments for test drives, shot her an e-mail and get on her list.
