Here what I paid..
$15,435 was the price of my Passion with Stereo option and the other option package with leather seats, power steering etc..
Sales Tax of $1,203.93
License, transfer, title & registration fee $244.06
Waste Tire Fee $5.00
Delivery Package Fee $400.00
Total $17,287.99
minus your $99
Grand total was $17,188.99
I have 24 month/12,000 miles before I have to purchase the extented warranty plan. Thinking about getting the 100,000/5 yr for $1590. down the road.
Banking rates are great with my credit union being 5.20% on new auto loans. Dealer rate is 7.49%.. Right now I'm looking at adding it to my 2nd so I can take advanage of the tax write off which will be about 6.0%. With the feds lowering the rate today by 3/4 of a point I have some time before I really need to do anything... First payment with the dealership is March which give me time to get better rates with my credit union before paying off dealership.
Hope this help ya.

Just send smart a new home address. Tell 'em you moved.
Your home state isn't gonna care where you bought the car when they go to register it...
Is this really possible?

Some states like Washington will add on their sales tax if you buy in Oregon (a no sales tax state) most other states will register the vehicle for the regular fees.

Here is a little more information about registering an out-of-state vehicle in AZ in case someone else wants to try it as well.
2) How much does it cost to title and register my vehicle?
It varies depending on the vehicle. There is a $4.00 title fee; an $8.00 registration fee; plus an air quality research fee of $1.50; and a vehicle license tax (VLT) assessed in place of a personal property tax charged by other states.
The VLT is based on an assessed value of 60% of the manufacturer's base retail price reduced by 16.25% for each year since the vehicle was first registered in Arizona (15% before 8/1/98). Then, as of the Dec 1, 2000 reduction, the rate is calculated as $2.80 (new vehicles)/$2.89 (used vehicles) for each $100 of the assessed value. For example, for a new vehicle that costs $25,000, the first year assessed value would be $15,000 and the VLT would be $420.00. The second year the assessed value would be $12,562.50 and the VLT would be $363.06.
In AZ as you can see, we have the VLT which is expensive compared to other states, we are charged this reducing fee every year as part of our registration. Some of you like Oregon pay very little to renew your registration, AZ really has some expensive fees.
As you can see, the AZ MVD fees are only $13.50 plus $25.00 for my custom plate, nowhere near the $400 that smart of Chandler wants.
As a side note, the best I can tell but I may be wrong and maybe someone in Oregon can correct me, but it looks like if I were to purchase my samrt in Oregon, I would avoid the sales tax in AZ. I am not sure on that yet, but if I had to pay it it would be the same regarless of where I purchased it in that case.

Congrats Phxbird57!
Question: where is the $645 transportation fee, in the $15,435? What is the delivery package fee? Is that the transportation fee? Thanks for the info.

Yes, I think your correct the package fee is what the dealer can charge which I'm assuming is the transport fee. Any one else want to weigh in? I don't see any fee for transport outline on my break down contract so I think that correct.
