MPG

I put 281 miles on my car before I filled up my first tank of gas in my new smart car.. Here the results.

Total on the trip mileage 281
Filler up with 7.868 gal of gas
Unl-Prem Octane 91
Price per gal $3.179
total $25.01

results 35.714 MPG about 60% highway driving and 40% city

It was late at night so I stop at Circle K off 99th ave (Lake Pleasant Rd. & Pinnacle Peak Rd) Sam's & Costco pumps were closed so yeah I could have gotten a better rate.

Look forward to seeing what other are getting.. I have a lead foot..(I hope I never run into ya CruisingAZ.. lol) So I could of maybe gotten a better MPG but I'm not crying.. My 1997 Buick Le Saber gets 15-16 mpg in the city and 18-20 on the highway not to mention $50+ to fill the tank. I do have a Suzuki Boulevard C50T I ride alot which gets 47-48 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway. Right now I'm trying to get rid of my Buick and the first thing people ask is "Does it get good gas mileage" lol

Enjoy!!!

mpg

I have used 2 tanks of fuel with both getting 34 mpg around Fountain Hills and Scottsdale, driving pretty fast.
I loaned the car to a friend who was thinking of getting one but undecided, he drove 104.9 miles and only used 2.247 gallons getting 46.684 mpg! Thats driving from Phoenix to Wickenburg and back. He has owned lots of unique small cars such as BMW Isetta's and is sold on the smart.
I guess I need driving lessons!

I filled up last night.
$3.519 per gal
7.120 gal
$25.06
281 miles...1st tank!
39.466 mpg
That would be 15 mpg more than the PT Cruiser I had.

I've got 2000 miles on mine now and the best I have seen is 39 on a tank and the worst was 35. My 17's seem to have cost me about 0.5-1.0 mpg after factoring in the larger rolling radius.
