Let me ask you something, do you use premium gas in your car? I did not realize that you were suppose to.... does that mean if I am using regular, I will screw up the engine. Do you know anything about this.

Yes, engine requires 91 octane minimum.

Although the ECU may compensate for regular 89 octane fuel, this doesn't mean there will not be damage to your engine. The 1000cc Mitz is a high compression engine and issues with predetonation can cause your plugs to deteriorate at a faster rate, and cause piston and valve damage. Proceed at your own risk!

First tank

Picked up my smart on Moday, filled up today (Fri.) 242 miles 6.2 gal.
39.03 MPG about 50% city 50% highway. Very happy so far.
