Oh now...we don't hate snowbirds. Snowbirds bring money to our sagging economy...It is just that some snowbirds need to drive a little better.

P.S. I'm almost "snowbird" age but I will be here all year round.

Now that I have read all I can about Yuma and looked at the housing situation, etc, we are told that we will not be coming to Yuma. *Heavy sigh*

Now we are told, Hawaii.

Hawaii, where my little car has no service support. I guess it will continue to live a lonely life in Arkansas with me coming to visit it on occassion.

I've lived in Yuma since '98 and find its a good place to live. Sure its hot in summer, but since you've been in Arkansas (where I went to high school), where its hot and humid..very humid..in summer so you'll do fine here as long as you drink lots of water. Winter weather is beautiful...no ice/precipitation. You'll be 2.5 hours drive time to San Diego or Phoenix...or go north to Flagstaff for cooler temps in summer. Welcome!

Thank you so much for all the great information. Unfortunately, our orders were changed and now we are moving to Hawaii.
