2000 mile road trip

Starting this just to be able to put some information for everyone...

I am taking my Smart on a 2000 mile 16 hour road trip, starting out on Friday the 4th at 4am, leaving from my house and driving to Brooklyn Park MN. Then turning around and leaving there Sunday the 6th at 4am and driving back... Gps says its 997 miles one-way, figure I'll do some driving when I get there, plus the miles back, whole trip will probably be over 2000. When I return I will post miles, gas stops, fill up info... Should be a true test of mpg on the highway... this trip will put my Smart over 23,000 miles on the odom.

Wish me luck! Hope I dont get a flat, or go crazy after 32 hours in a smart in 3 days.

Oh man! I did just 300 miles this weekend. My butt, and back are still recovering and I'm walking with a limp. Does the warranty cover chiropractic visits?

When did you take delivery and how did you get over 20K miles on it already? Or is it a 450?

BandSofC, not sure about the warranty covering a chiropractic visit… Guess that’s one of the things this trip will work out, other than just how well the Smart will handle the trip is how well the driver will handle “in” it on the trip… lol
Jwight, E-SMART is correct about my Smart being one of the “gray area” 450s… I’ve had it for a while…

had planned on a 3000 mile trip this summer in mine.....but that was when i thought i'd have it by end of june....now....who knows!

If you like Soul Food and Jesus - her and her husband would love to put you up. If not, well....I understand. Good luck on your trip and wish Mpls warm weather as you drive through. I had to leave that Antartica because it's too damn cold and they only get 3 months of summer with the state bird (mosquito). Regina

you will have a great time just did a 3000mi road trip canada to fort worth on spring break with my 8 year old daughter in a 450 cdi it was fantastic!
