JUst an FYI...went to Smart Round Rock and they were kind enought to let me look thru the shop manual. The smart has 2- count them 2 CAN buss networks. Given this it would be best to have a alarm system that is CAN compatable IMHO.
I will do a little more pokeing around and either find a local installer whom knows how to interface with the CANBus or start to work a deal with someone that wants to learn and not screw up our cars.
Not word if the Fatherland will ever let us yanks get the parts and programing to have the Dealer install the factory system.

... Lo-Jack is a bit$$$$ and I do not want an alarm that sounds like every lowrider in the hood...just an imobilerzer ( sp?).
