Attention Houston 1173 People

Attention Houston Smart 1173 Owners To Be
Attention all Smart owners getting their car from Mercedes Benz North Freeway.

14 cars are here INCLUDING MINE. They are HIDDEN behind the Benz service department so you cannot see them. Drive behind the service department on the 1960 side and they are all the way in the Back.

They sais the dealership would not be finished for a week or two and then they would have to wait for DOT APPROVAL before we can pick our cars up.

When I called on the phone yesterday , Dan the guy in chage of the Smart would not even admit when they would come in.

When I went in today he would not tell me they were here, so i told him I KNEW THEY WERE HERE and MY CAR was on the back lot because
I HAVE SEEN IT ALONG WITH 13 OTHER CARS IN BACK.
They dont wnat anybody to know so because they cant sell them till approved by the State.

I also asked that they transfer mine to the Sugarland dealership and
they said it would take longer to transfer it than to waitand get it at north freeway.

SO IF YOU ARE A 1173 and think your car is close it might be here already.

BILL

I have been e-mailing Dan back and forth for about two months now. So far I have not been that impressed with him. I know of someone else here in Houston that wrote a letter to Penske complaining about Dan. I have been in contact with the Sugarland dealership also. I have been more impressed with them until resently. Unfortunately, my dealer is Dan. The thing I don't understand is that I thought Sugarland would have cars by now, but I haven't heard anyone mention getting cars in Houston yet. When Sugarland found out that they weren't going to be my dealer they quit e-mailing me.

wow. a car dealer that lies. who'd a thunk it. this Dan guy sounds like a tool and looks like a clown. why not the truth? we have the cars, but we don't have our permit, don't have the paperwork, don't have the keys, whatever. but no, he would rather look you in the eye and lie. i heart car dealers.

As you can see by my profile I have a while to wait. My reservation number is 1394. I hope by the time I pickup my car Dan is able to get it together. In your conversations with both dealers did you find out anything about a "document fee"?

I've seen about 10 people on this forum that are from Houston. Maybe we should plan a get together sometime. I would like to meet all the Houston smart owners. We could share experiences. Unfortunately I won't be getting mine for a while. Also I really like this new front plate idea that is being marketed on the forum. The problem that I see with it though is catching the dealer before he has drilled the holes in the bumper. Those of you that go before the rest of us might mention this to the dealer. The dealer should ask you before he goes and drills holes in your bumper. After the fact is to late.
