CenTex is having their September meeting postponed for one week due to Labor Day weekend. Here is the info.

Count Lori (spouse) and I as a ‘tenuous tentative’. For the past year, I have been consulting in California and am home to Round Rock only 4 days a month (every other weekend). The 12th, unfortunately, has me out of town. However, if anybody wants to do a 'micro-meet' of micro cars on Saturday the 5th, I can share some of the things that work for the local Mercedes club (which we are a member of). PM me if anyone want to get together just for lunch and discussion on the 4th. Time, place and venue are flexible.

The 5th is iffy for me-- I'm waiting for some things to firm up before I know anything for sure.

But I'd love to know what works for the Mercedes club-- as you know, CenTex has had a hard time getting into gear (ha!) and we were talking on Saturday that it might be a good idea to ask some other clubs what they did to make something sustainable.

No worries - we're all busy... which is probably a small part of the problem. We need to generate events that draw unique interest so that folks have something different to do; to capture their attention. To make them sit up and say "Wow - that sounds cool." It's just tough to organize from California. Which is my problem, for the time being.

Offer's still open to anyone who wants to meet for lunch and a brewski. When my contract is up in a couple months, I'll be able to dedicate more time to CenTex.

Jeff, I might be able to meet up with you that saturday, I will be able to confirm something as we get closer to that date. But, like Rebecca, I would love to be able to hear the ideas you have to help us out. I will PM you when I know for sure that I can attend (AKA, make sure the better half is already planning something, LOL)
