Central Texas Winery Tour

Last year there was a wine tour that was done about the Ausgust time frame.

We did not have many smarts in the Central Texas area but now there are tons of us. So, that being said, who is interested in doing another winery tour.

Last time, Spicewood winery was done. I was looking more towards maybe a 1 or even 2 day event thru the Fredricksburg area. There are plenty of bed and breakfasts there. We could drive down early on a Saturday, aprox 2 - 3 hours, do about half to 3/4 of the wineries, or even just select few. Any suggestions are more then welcome. I was thinking more later when we get out of the cool time and into more of the spring Texas time, say Aprilish.

Here is a Map of all the Central Texas Wineries. Take a look, and toss some suggestions and if you might be interested in making the run.

That sounds great! Fredricksberg has a big flea market/craft fair type thing that is sort of like "first Mondays" in Canton on..... I think the 3rd weekend of every month. We would have to go to a Fredricksberg site to get the dates. The hotel/ B&Bs fill on that weekend but if U are talking April it should be early enough. That would be one more thing to enjoy if it is an overnight road trip, in addition to winerys.

That sounds like fun to me, although I'd probably be more interested in a one day thing than a weekend, only in that it would be much easier to find a passenger to ride with me, if it was a one day trip.

I am sure we can do a weekend one and a single day one. My wife and I are going to drive out to Spicewood Vinards due to they have a Chilli cookoff this Sat Feb 28th from 1pm to 5mp. So we can get some wine and taste some good Texas chili. So, just look for the Red Cabrio, I will be there.

Chili cookoff is today if you plan on attending like myself. Cost is $10 at the vineyard for wine and chili tasting. See you there if you are attending.
